Shiri Maimon is one of the most popular Israeli singers today. Shiri became known to the Israeli public as one of the front-runners in the israeli version of American Idol (Kochav Nolad). Shiri came in second in this competition, but did it stop her? Shortly after Kochav Nolad finals. Shiri made an internationally name for herself when she represented Israel in the Eurovision Song contest, 2004. Shiri gave an unforgettable performance with the song - HeSheket Shenishar - one of my favorite pop songs ever - which brought Israel to the fourth place. She gave a great performance even though she was sick. As far as I'm concerened Shiri is a winner!

2005 was a wonderful year for Shiri: she released her debut album which was an instant success with four top of the chart hits. Soon after its release, Shiri's debut album went gold.
